Challenge: Mythical Creatures

The metallic focus of this months box will bring a sense of magic to your artwork. Use the inspiration and supplies included to get lost in mythology and bring a mystical creature to life.

What was in the box?

Gansai Tambi Starry Colours Set –

This set of six gold metallic paint rectangles are high-quality Japanese handmade, solid watercolours. Rich in shimmery pigment, they work very well with waterbrushes. Wetting the paint pans to work directly from the palette. Apply a thick layer for an extremely saturated colour (even on dark paper) or use sparingly for a translucent metallic paint wash.

Zig BRUSH20 Waterbrush

This portable brush enables you to control the rate of liquid released from the transparent barrel to the brush tip. They can be filled easily by unscrewing the brush and squeezing the barrel under water. You can even fill them up with inks or watercolours. Once full replace the brush head and start painting.

Sakura Pigma Micron Drawing Pen –

The first disposable technical pen to use an archival pigment ink. This high quality ink is acid-free, waterproof, and fade resistant. The plastic nib of this pen is encased in steel for extra strength and boasts no smudges, feathers, or bleed on most papers.

Derwent Graphic Pencil HB –

This traditional pencil has a slim, hexagonal barrel that holds a strong strip of HB (Hard & Black) graphite that is easy to sharpen to a good point.
