This months box is all about embracing the feminine energy this time of year’s season has to offer. Taking inspiration from our featured artist, we encourage you to explore working this soft colour palette and channeling Mother Nature into your delicate artworks.
As always everyones work was amazing! It's getting harder for us to choose a Top 3!.Here are our picks for the #091 ScrawlrBox:
Stunning! Our first thoughts seeing this beautiful floral piece by Oliver. The way the colours have been blended and that black background giving it a dark edge.
We asked Oliver, what is your favourite way to use Copic markers?
“I love using Copic markers to create smooth, vibrant colours in my art. I love the ways you can layer the ink and experiment with different combinations for blending and shadows to bring a piece to life. i also really appreciate how quick it is to put together a full piece with beautiful colours ready to use with little preparing.”
Wondering how mother nature got herself into this little predicament! We love this take on the #091 ScrawlrChallenge – radiating all the Spring and feminine vibes!
We asked Izabel, What was the inspiration behind this piece? “My inspiration was something related to mother nature, so I decided that a forest nymph was the best choice. I love drawing all sorts of nymphs, but for this piece, I especially tried my best to emphasise the feminine characteristics and vitality of nature.”
Just look at this stunning piece by Holly Walters. All of the details and tonal values are on point, the fabric looks so delicate! A great take on this months prompt.
“ScrawlrChallenge prompt 'Feminine Energy' got me thinking about how femininity is expressed in different cultures”
