How did your journey to becoming an artist begin?

When I was at school, I had painted all of the exercise books.

How do you start a project? Do you plan beforehand or do you dive in and create as you go?

A rough concept is very important to me! Projects that contain a certain topic or the representation of a scene can thus be realised more easily. But the detailed implementation, such as light and shadow, colour combinations or details are always freestyle. So a combination of both!

Over the past few years there has been a real shift towards digital drawing/art. What is your opinion on art being digitalised?

I find digitization in art very exciting! It is just as much a tool like a pen or a spray can. I also work digitally, mostly in conceptual design.

What is your favourite medium to work with and why?

I don’t have a favourite medium to work. It’s fun to try different media. It depends on what you do with it.

Where do you look to for inspiration?

At all Levels.

What percentage of your time is dedicated to art?

…too little!

Do you think the attitude towards graffiti/street art has changed? And if so why?

I think it has become more versatile! Also it is more legal, commercial and has more space in urban areas.

Has the COVID pandemic affected how and where you create?

There are pros and cons due to the pandemic. It depends on what you do with a situation - be creative!

What is your favourite thing about being an artist?

Look at the finished picture.

What are some of your other interests?

Ohhh, there is a lot: my garage, working on my campervan, sports like surfing and sailing, drinking beer and tea, music, warm weather ...

Do you have any projects planned for the near future that you can tell us about?

I have a lot of projects in mind that I would like to implement. Everything comes gradually ...
