I’m an Abstract Artist living in Manchester.
My journey in art started as a late night escape. Those quiet hours when finally everyone is in bed and nobody needs you anymore! It grew from there and I’ve since been lucky enough to grow a business from it and be featured in galleries and art magazines.

We absolutely love your Abstract style. What is it about Abstract Art that captures your imagination?
Abstract art continues to captivate me because there are no rules, no boundaries—just freedom. I don’t feel constrained by the need to recreate something realistic or literal. It allows me to pour my emotions, ideas, and energy into the canvas without limitation. I find it incredibly liberating and endlessly exciting to explore the unknown with each piece.
I can imagine colour plays an integral part in your creations. Is there a certain colour palette that speaks to you?
Absolutely. Colour is at the heart of everything I create. The interplay of colours fascinates me, and I enjoy experimenting with a wide variety of palettes. That said, I do have a soft spot for rich jewel tones and earthy neutrals—they have a timeless quality that feels grounding yet expressive. But honestly, every project is a chance to explore something new, and my mood often dictates the palette I use.
Are there any Abstract Artists who have had a profound effect on your development as an artist?
Jackson Pollock is a major inspiration for me. His work taught me the beauty of movement and spontaneity, and I’ve developed some of my favourite techniques while experimenting with his drip painting style.
What is it that you think makes Abstract Art as a movement so misunderstood?
Abstract art is often misunderstood because it doesn’t fit into a traditional narrative. People sometimes struggle to connect with it because there’s no clear image or story to follow. But I think that’s part of its beauty. Every piece is open to personal interpretation, which makes it uniquely intimate for the viewer. It invites you to feel rather than think and encourages a deeper connection with yourself.
What is your favourite thing about working in acrylics?
I love the versatility of acrylics. They dry quickly, which lets me build layers and experiment without long wait times. Their movement across the canvas feels dynamic and fresh, and compared to oils, they’re much easier to handle in terms of cleanup and flexibility. Plus, their vibrancy and durability make them perfect for the bold, energetic style I love to create.
What’s the best way to create texture with acrylics?
Creating texture with acrylics is one of my favourite parts of the process. I’ve developed my own recipe for texture paste, which I mix using artist-grade products tailored to my work. This gives me the freedom to sculpt the surface exactly how I envision it. For anyone starting out, I’d recommend experimenting with mediums like modelling paste or gel and layering with palette knives, brushes, or even unconventional tools like sponges or combs. The possibilities are endless!
How long does it typically take you to finish a piece?
It really depends on the complexity of the piece, but on average, it takes me around 5 to 7 days to complete a painting from start to finish. That includes time for layering, refining details, and letting everything dry properly. Some pieces come together more quickly, while others demand more time and patience.
