Our March '22 Top 3 ScrawlrChallenge Picks
March '22 ScrawlrChallenge: 'Bionic Being'
The March 2022 box was all about robots with the challenge, the featured artist artwork and even the Alpha Robot set of Marabu Markers. There is so much that inspires in the world of machines and androids, particularly in the technology driven world we live in, so when it comes to robotic designs anything is possible.
Our featured artist, Created by Imrie, inspired us with his animated designs and prompted the #ScrawlrChallenge ‘Bionic Being’. For this month’s challenge we asked you to examine the mechanical and create a unique robotic being with a whole lot of personality. Let’s see who we picked this month for our Top 3.
Beep Boop...Incoming our first of our top 3! this hopeless romantic of a robot, Dave. We love how the markers have been used to created the background, and his robot ‘skin’ has a slight rusty look to it. We love Dave, hope he gets the girl!
“Meet Dave a little robot suitor for Dotty, my little robo girlie 🥰…inspired by this months featured artist Created By Imrie. Loved using the Graphix Sketch Markers in and the copicliner and adding a little pop of colour. “
How stunning is these ScrawlrChallenge piece by Valyenkka 🤖 💙✏️ Great use of the purple pencil, that little pop of colour used for the butterfly is just chefs kiss! Sitting beautifully in amongst the grim greyscale scene created for the background.
"~Hope~This is what I created from the recent ScrawlrBox! A destroyed robot... humanity left him behind. Suddenly, after years, a little butterfly full of life and colours lands on him and makes him feel alive again 🤖♥️🦋! He will be repaired soon! I promise!"
Frida E. Arntsen
This piece by Frida made us chuckle! 🍞🤖 Breakfast served with a pinch of creativity. The sheer contract of all the designs everyone comes up with always amazes us!
"What is my purpose?""You toast bread.""Oh my god."I haven't touched traditional art supplies in years!! 🤩 it was a fun to get back into it. ❤️ "
