(Smalt (Dumont’s Blue), Viridian Hue, Quinacridone Violet*, Terre Verte, Raw Umber)
Chemist William Winsor and artist Henry Newton developed moist watercolours in 1835 and this proudly British company they founded has consistently offered the very finest colours ever since. These professional quality watercolours from Winsor and Newton offer bright, vibrant and superior performance, plus these ones are granulating! They dry down to a semi-opaque finish. Produced with the finest pigments they have a reputation among artists for there brilliance, permanence and strong colour pay-off. Their high degree of purity means they produce vibrant results on their own, as a wash or mixed with other colours in the range. The moist paint in the tubes are convenient and quick to dilute for studio work. Tubes can be used to refill Half Pans too – simply reactivate once dry.
