Rob Draper
Rob Draper is an artist and designer based in the UK specialising in hand lettering. Rob has worked with an elite range of worldwide clients including The Golden Globes, Nike, Gap, Penguin, Samsung, Levi’s, Sunglass Hut, WWF and many more. Rob also speaks worldwide on creativity and his ‘story’ and how an unpredictable series of events ended up creating the role he is in today. He has had global press coverage on his work and approach to design and is passionate about creativity and lettering. There is an ongoing personal project started in 2014 that Rob continues to revisit with a very simple brief, Create More. “Upon starting my business I was looking for a way to creatively challenge myself and similar to other projects, I am fascinated by a ‘something out of nothing’ approach, creating something of worth on something so disposable, giving something ‘trash bound’ a possible second life, I love contrast, the contrast of taking so long on something so worthless. Something that shouldn’t really be there.”
This months box contains everything you need to take something found, blank or destined for landfill and turn it into art with a little added sparkle. Take inspiration from our featured artists passion project and ‘Create More’. It could be a intricate lettering piece on a cardboard box, or a simple illustration on the included kraft paper. We just want you to explore these supplies and see where inspiration takes you.

What was in the box?
Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen (4)
Ink drawings have a very long artistic tradition. This has always been an interesting medium for artists as it allows expression and durability and can also be combined with many other drawing techniques. Faber Castell has combined all the advantages of an artist’s ink with the benefits of a modern, easy-to-use pen in 4 different nibs. The pigmented and lightfast drawing ink is waterproof and permanent, odourless, acid-free and does not bleed through paper.
Uni-ball Signo Broad Gel Rollerball Pen
Enjoy a delightfully smooth and bold drawing experience with these Uni-ball Signo Broad gel pens. This white pen is highly opaque and shows up well on both light and dark papers. The archival-quality ink is resistant to water and fading. A hugely popular white gel pen that artists everywhere are trying to get their hands on. The ink comes out silky white, almost like correction fluid, but smooth and versatile.
Custom ScrawlrBox Viking Pencil
Viking has been producing high quality graphite pencils in Denmark for over 100 years and we have collaborated with them to produce a custom ScrawlrBox pencil especially for this box. It has a stunning gold dipped lacquer to match the sparkly theme of this box and a smooth, versatile graphite core suitable for a wide variety of art applications.
Culture Hustle Gold Dazzle (5g)
A plant-based super sparkly glitter. Microplastics are killing the environment, contaminating our oceans and beautiful wildlife. Plastic based glitters are evil and helping to destroy our planet. Stuart Semple and his team have worked tirelessly to end the glitter problem! Rather than face a future with no sparkle they created Dazzle, a completely compostable, plant-based glitter. When these plant-based eco glitters meet microbes in soil, freshwater or the ocean they break down to rejoin nature safely. They will however last forever in your artwork!
Stick-It Glue Pen
The stick it! sticky glue pen is a strong, permanent, PVA adhesive with a precision applicator, making it easy to apply glue and add those finishing touches. The glue bonds on contact and dries clear.
Back Pocket Sketchbook (+2 Kraft Sheets)
A small “Back Pocket” sketchbook made especially for ScrawlrBox, featuring exclusive Rob Draper artwork. The sketchbook has a 315gsm Kraft cover made from 80% recycled fibres and 100gsm plain paper inside. We’ve also included 2 Sheets of A5 Nomad Kraft 350gsm paper to further test out the supplies.

Faber Castell fineliners are my
Faber Castell fineliners are my favourite, they write great, are not scratchy and have a perfect black color.
I haven't tried the gold gluing technique yet, but I want to make some Christmas cards with this.

Another fab box :-)
I did a little happy dance when I saw this particular box, because I do love a fineliner (or four). The little book is adorable and the comfort-zone-push this time came in the form of glue and glitter.... a little messy perhaps but so satisfying!! Thank you ScrawlrBox for another joy-filled kit.

Almost worth it just for the pens
It was a cool mix of stuff. I use pitt pens anyway, and they are not cheap. I bought this box way after it first came out. It was a decent value and I like the glue a lot, it's like a bonus
