Phoebe has loved art from a very young age. She received a classical training in fine art at The Florence Academy of Art, graduating from their three year painting program in 2012. Phoebe took part in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2017, painting Sue Perkins and Imelda Staunton. She currently lives and paints between Kent and London, always with her terrier, Lupin, in tow, working on commissioned portraits of people and animals, predominantly working in charcoal and chalk, as well as oils.

Coates Willow Charcoal Sticks

The highest quality charcoal from the Coate Family's renewable willow beds on the Somerset Levels. The result is a superior charcoal, black in colour and smooth in texture as favoured by fine artists.

Seawhite Black Compressed Charcoal Block

Ideal for broad, expressive drawing and fine detail. Its smooth application is easy to blend and layer to create deep dense tones and is naturally water soluble allowing for interesting line and wash effects.

Koh-I-Noor Gioconda Charcoal Pencil

A charcoal pencil ideal for fine-tuning your sketches and neatening any expressive charcoal marks. This pencil gives you those well loved traditional charcoal textures with great control and a sharp point.

Lyra Rembrandt Chalk Pencils

These oil free pencils can be blended and blurred to perfection using fingers, cotton buds or putty eraser. They layer extremely well and are fantastic for adding realistic shading or highlights to your work.

Lyra Rembrandt Splender Pencil

This Lyra Splender, colourless blending pencil, when applied with a little pressure, gives a glossy surface and helps blend tones together seamlessly.

Winsor & Newton Medium Kneaded Putty Eraser

A 'putty’ eraser which can be sculpted for erasing ease, into a fine point for delicate details (useful for picking out highlights) or used on mass to lift larger areas of charcoal without smearing.

Faber Castell Perfection Eraser Pencil

Perfect for fine detail erasing and sharpen like ordinary pencils. It's great for precision erasing when a little more control is needed. Think of it as reverse drawing rather than erasing.

KUM Magnesium Double Hole Pencil Sharpener

A great addition to any artists pencil case, perfect for larger diameter pencils. The blades are high-carbon steel and therefore resilient and very sharp. Ideal for tapering blunt pencils into the perfect point.

PaintOn Grey A5 Pad (8 Sheets)

The weight of this paper makes it a suitable surface for a variety dry techniques. The mid toned surface is particularly useful for creating dramatic contrast between highlights and shadows.

Fun box!

I enjoyed this box the most from all I've gotten so far. I've been interested in charcoal drawing in the past, but I've never gotten to actually try it myself. This box gave me a chance to try it out for a decent price and I had so much fun trying a new medium! I'll definitely explore the medium more and that's only thanks to ScrawlrBox.

One of my favourite boxes

This was real value for money! I loved all the pencils and the double ended eraser pencil was such a great idea I went out and bought 3 more! For me the highlight of this box was working on grey paper... I've never used tinted paper like this and was surprised at the difference it made to a charcoal piece just changing up something so simple! Great inspiration again!

Great box

I bought this back in January and immediately wanted to crack on with a portrait of my sons. I am not very good at portraits so really wanted the practice. The pencil rubber in this is a game changer and I was really pleased with the end results although they don’t really look like my kids :woman-facepalming:
