SP:Zero is an illustrator and street artist based in Bristol, UK. He has a varied portfolio, which includes everything from live drawing, magazine art and illustration through to large scale murals, children’s books and computer game art.

He’s regularly works alongside Mitsubishi Pencil Co, promoting Posca and Uniball, and some of his other past and ongoing clients include Lamborghini, Samsung, The BBC, Luctra, Devitt Insurance, Nass Festival and Doncaster Council.

He has painted and created art around the World, from New York to Australia and featured in several books and magazines.

He is currently working on his own comic book called ‘After the Robot Apocalypse’.

Character Creation

It's time to get creative and dig deep into your imagination. With this months box we want you to step away from the landscapes, portraits and observational drawings and create something never seen before. Invent a creature or character, that may have similarities to something else, but has never previously existed. This newly created character needs to come from your imagination and be born onto the page. This is the first time it will have existed, so don't forget to name them and create a little backstory too.

Uni POSCA Pens 5M

These POSCA Pens are the perfect tools for all of your marker needs. The medium tip of the PC-5M is one of the most adaptable in the POSCA range. It provides clear, precise line work and beautifully vibrant colour, making it extremely popular among artists and designers. They have a water-based pigment ink that is lightfast, water-resistant and dries permanent on absorbent media such as paper or card. Of course, POSCA works on almost any surface, so you can also try them on woods, metals, glass, plastic, textiles and more. These versatile paint markers provide highly-opaque, matt colour that can be layered, watered-down and used for almost any multimedia project that you can think of.

Uni POSCA Pens 3M

These Uni POSCA PC-3M water-based pigment ink markers are ideal for precision and accuracy in your artwork. As featured in the POSCA pen range, these pens will write on virtually any surface whilst ensuring there is no bleed through on paper. POSCA pens are completely opaque so light colours can easily be layered on top of dark colours, making this white pen perfect for both highlighting and also correcting any mistakes. The precision bullet shaped nib gives the user amazing line control, allowing for intricate and detailed drawing, outlining, hatching and colouring.

Faber Castell Ecco Pigment Liner 0.6

This popular and reliable Ecco Pigment fibre tip pen from Faber-Castell is suitable for writing, drawing and sketching. Thanks to its special pigmented ink it is also ideal for use on drawing paper and transparent paper. The pigmented ink is waterproof and lightfast and the pen features an ergonomic grip zone, making for comfortable use.

Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black 100B 2B

This pencil is made for artists and designers. It has a high percentage of carbon in the lead so this pencil delivers deep rich blacks. With a matt finish, this pencil is great for sketching, expressive marks and hatching. It also has a super-bonded lead which lends to a more break-resistant pencil.

Gecko Freestyle Pad A5 10 sheets

This Gecko Freestyle sketchbook (made especially for this box) contains unique hybrid paper combining bleedproof marker paper and bristol board - the perfect blend for marker pens and endorsed by POSCA for use with POSCA paint markers.

POSCALICIOUS!

To start with the pencil was amazing! Rich black and so smooth to use and as always when a fineliner is included the pen was of the best quality but omg! POSCA PENS! I am a huge fan of these pens and was delighted to see they were in the box! As always with posca pens they worked perfectly and the paint flow was even and smooth and SO nice to use! The mix of colours were even my favourite shades!
I had never used marker paper till I tried the pad included and was so amazed with the results I immediately went and bought some larger pads.
So happy with this box and with the artwork I produced with the contents!

As a massive posca pen fan, I Loved this box! The pens are by far the best paint pens you can buy and the colours scrawlrbox chose were just gorgeous! Perfect paper for markers... Excellent quality fineliner and the lumograph pencil was awesome for nice dark outlining. Just another perfect box!

Great box selection, the combination of colours and the pigment was incredible in the Posca Pens in this kit. Love the outline pens too. Would really recommend trying these boxes as they open up so many new mediums!
