Katie Smith, working under the alias KatieBute Art, is a professional artist from Scotland, now living in Zürich, Switzerland.

She paints nature and the organic world with watercolours, drawing and painting in a detailed and exhaustive manner. Discovering all possibilities is an important aspect of her method; working closely with subject matter. Katie finds inspiration in the natural environment, historical artists and her travels. Her goal for teaching is to inspire others, help people learn and bring people together through art.

In 2016, Katie made the move to Madrid, Spain and quickly gained a footprint in the city’s galleries and exhibitions as well as in wider Spain. 2019 saw Katie make the move to Zurich, Switzerland where she continued to paint and present her work in an exciting art market. KatieBute has art exhibited in galleries throughout the West Coast of Scotland, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

Derwent Pastel Shades Paint Pan Set

These gouache style pigmented paints, are uniquely soft and light formulated pastel shades. These gentle colours are perfect for romantic washes and dreamy blends but they can also be layered for a brighter finish, without dissolving any previously dried layers. This means you can build up thick opaque layers to create a more dramatic, bright and matte finish. So the possibilities with this palette are endless. This compact set contains 12 pastel paint pans, a mini water brush, five mixing palettes and a sponge to clean your supplies.

Goldline 300gsm A5 Aquapad

These pads are a brand new addition to the Clairefontaine line, with paper that is 100% cellulose medium fine grain water-colour paper, perfect for all of your water-based medium exploration. It is acid free paper with a sturdy quality and a natural off-white colour that is obtained without the use optical brightener. The grain on this paper is stronger on one side to ensure maximum absorption and smooth on the back, so is intended for one sided use.

Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen

This Sakura Gelly Roll pen features a specialised ink that is designed not to feather, smear or bleed through most papers. The water- based gel ink will offer a consistent flow of lightfast ink that is also fade resistant and waterproof, so it is a great pairing with your wet medium creations. This brilliant white pen will be perfect for adding that essential pop of highlight or focal features to your pastel creations.
