Clarissa Grandi

Clarissa is a geometric artist, author, and teacher. First and foremost an educator, her passion is introducing beginners to the truly accessible art of geometry. She delights in sharing her ideas, materials, and techniques with others, and her background in mathematics teaching enables her to demonstrate and explain difficult concepts simply and clearly.

In her own art making she enjoys exploring the interplay between the precision of human-made geometry and the more organic and chaotic geometries and symmetries found in nature.

Her geometric multimedia artworks have been exhibited in Mathematical Art exhibitions around the world.

Just okay

Most of the colors looked too similar. I did not like this paint.

New to me

I really enjoyed working with the charcoal watercolors. I had to rely on my swatches and think about color in a different way. I also like the postcard paper. I'll be experimenting with these more

Amazing Box, muted with metallic

This box was a delight to recieve. I bought it from previous boxes, and still it was the most exciting delivery and discovery. I'm learning a lot about a medium I have no experience with, and that's what I find ScrawlrBox so valuable for. The art print and zine really help me find my feet while exploring mediums I'm not familiar with.

Moody and marvellous!

I had never come across charcoal paints before and was so intrigued - when this box came up in the sale I thought I would see what they were like, as they were such good value. It turns out I really love them! As a charcoal lover I like the moodiness this palette brings - the shades are subtle yet potent, and all work so nicely together. It feels like it was a bargain price just for that set, but getting the gold pen and cards alongside it made it even better. The pen is lovely to use.
The order arrived swiftly and I have really enjoyed this box!
